Michael Schowalter, MD, FAAD
Dr. Michael Schowalter is the medical director of our dermatopathology lab. He also practices medical dermatology at our Lombard and Naperville locations. Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Dr. Schowalter is a graduate of Dartmouth College and Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He completed his medical training in dermatology and dermatopathology at the Cleveland Clinic. Dr. Schowalter is an accomplished researcher and has been published numerous times in the field of cutaneous oncology.

Dr. Schowalter’s passion is the diagnosis and treatment of inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis and atopic dermatitis. When he is not in the clinic or at the microscope, Dr. Schowalter is cheering on the Steelers or spending time with his one-year-old son, Henry in the western Suburbs of Chicago.
