Megan is a board-certified adult-gerontology nurse practitioner specializing in dermatology. She has been working in healthcare since 2014 and has garnered extensive experience spanning health promotion to critical-care and dermatology.
Megan first earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences and worked in the public health setting before attending nursing school. As a nurse Megan spent 7-years as a certified critical care nurse primarily working in cardiothoracic intensive care at the University of Chicago Medical Center. During that time, she earned her Master’s of Nursing Science at Loyola University. It was through her Master’s program that she began gaining clinical experience in dermatology and where she found her passion. Megan then completed a BOTOX® and dermal fillers course through the American Association of Aesthetic Medicine and Surgery in Beverly Hills, CA with Dr. Sam Assassa. She later went on to complete a post-graduate dermatology specialization certificate at Florida Atlantic University led and mentored by highly-respected leaders in the field Dr. Margaret Bobonich and Ms. Mary Nolan.

Megan has worked closely alongside Dr. Van Dam as well as other highly experienced dermatologist in the Chicagoland area. Her clinical interest is primarily medical dermatology treating acne, rashes, hair loss and performing skin cancer screenings. She continues to strive to improve her clinical knowledge by reading academic journals and attending educational conferences. She is an active member of the Dermatology Nurses Association where she participates in the Nurse Practitioner Society committee. Outside of work she loves to travel to new cities, go on excellent hikes in the national parks, cook and be active.
