A Florida native, Dr. Jackson grew up the youngest of three in the southwest part of the state spending his youth fishing and playing sports. Dr. Jackson began his medical career as a Firefighter/EMT in 2002, where he fell in love with patient care and decided to pursue a career in medicine. After marrying his high school sweetheart, he returned to college and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Florida in Microbiology and Cell Science (Go Gators!). Desiring to continue his service to his community and Nation he opted to join the US Navy and attend medical school at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, MD. Following an internship at the Naval Hospital San Diego, Dr. Jackson spent four years as a Naval Flight Surgeon providing care to deployed aircrew and pilots, spending as much time flying as possible. He completed his residency in Dermatology at Naval Hospital San Diego and returned to the east coast to be an academic staff at the renowned Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He currently serves as the Associate Program Director teaching the next generation of dermatologists. When Dr. Jackson isn’t teaching residents or caring for patients, he spends his time with his wife and their three beautiful daughters either coaching or attending their numerous sporting and extracurricular activities.
