Dr. Youshock graduated Magna Cum Laude from Smith College and then attended Northwestern University School of Medicine. Following her dermatology residency under the esteemed Dr. Edward Krull and Dr. Clarence Livingood at Henry Ford Hospital, she was certified by the American Board of Dermatology. She then served in the United States Air Force Medical Corps at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, OH, where she attained the rank of major. Returning to Detroit, she became a staff dermatologist at Henry Ford Hospital in the Troy and Lakeside clinics. She joined the staff of William Beaumont Hospital-Troy and Crittenton Hospital Medical Center in 1991, and established North Oakland Dermatology, PC.
She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as an ex officio Board of Directors member of the Michigan Dermatological Society, where she serves as Chairman of the Membership Committee, as well as the By-Laws Committee, and the Blue Cross Blue Shield Committee. She is also a member of the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, and the Dermatology Foundation.
Since 1992, Dr. Youshock has been the local director for the annual free Skin Cancer Detection Clinic sponsored jointly by the Michigan Derm Society and American Cancer Society along with Crittenton Hospital.
She regularly attends continuing medical education seminar training sponsored by the American Academy of Dermatology, the Michigan Derm Society, and the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery, to stay abreast of all the most up-to-date treatments and procedures.
