Dr. Paula Lapinski is a board-certified dermatologist by the American Board of Dermatology with an extensive medical background and an unparalleled warmth, who has built a reputation in the community for exceptional treatment of a wide range of cosmetic and medical dermatologic issues.

Dr. Lapinski earned her degree in pre-professional studies at The University of Notre Dame, graduating with Honors as a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She went on to attend Northwestern University School of Medicine and completed her internship at Evanston-Northwestern Hospital. She completed her residency in Dermatology at The University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, one of the premier programs in the country.

Dr. Lapinski has been a practicing dermatology Nurse Practitioner for 2 years. She spent 10 years as a Registered Nurse practicing in bedside care in Adult/Trauma/Surgery before switching to Pediatric/Pediatric ICU/Pediatric Cardiac ICU. Paula specializes in prevention, detection and treatment of pre-cancer, cancerous growths, inflammation, scaling, infections, and other skin conditions. Paula received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Nicholls State University, followed by a Master of Science Nursing degree from George Washington University. While at George Washington University she was honored to be a member of Sigma Theta Tau Honor’s Society as well as the Golden Key International Honor Society. Paula grew up in south Louisiana and was very active in sports, playing soccer, tennis, track, volleyball, and swimming. She is and always has been a die-hard LSU and Saints football fan. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband, visiting her family, traveling, being active and reading.
